The Appraisal Process

Daventry Appraisal Services adheres to a strict code of ethics, as established by the Appraisal Standards Board and the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), to provide a fair and unbiased opinion. Our appraisals are recognized as qualified for legal purposes internationally, and we are also recognized as qualified appraisers by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

When completing an agricultural or animal appraisal, a sales comparison approach is most often used. The subject item or animal is compared with similar items or animals that have sold in recent periods. Using comparable sales, a composite figure is calculated to represent the fair market value of the subject item or animal. This value is time-sensitive due to economic and industry trends in the agricultural or animal industry.

The End Result
The client is provided with a thorough, professional report, which normally contains a full written description of the item and/or animal, photographs, analysis of the item or animal, and other supporting market data to back up the conclusions and valuation. If you are interested in having an appraisal done, please contact us directly.
